Social Events
The PPWC offers women living in the Palisades and surrounding area a
unique and fun way to make an impact in shaping the future of our
community. In addition, we always have several opportunities per month to get to know each other better socially... by hanging out at a member's home for a quaint party, going dancing at a club, splashing with our families at the beach, rolling the Bunco dice at the club house, or bowling at the local lanes.
Our monthly meetings take place at the Clubhouse, the first
Tuesday evening (September through June) and the second Tuesday daytime (October through June). Members may attend either the evening or daytime meeting (or both (if desired). Each evening meeting, often with a seasonable theme, begins at 7 pm and features hors d'oeuvres, dessert and drinks. The business begins promptly at 7:30 pm and lasts until 9 p.m. Each daytime meeting features a speaker and a potluck luncheon. The business begins at 11:00 am, an entertainment program (often musical) begins at 11:45 and the luncheon is at 12:30 pm.
Meetings in September, October and November are devoted to
finalizing plans for the Home Tour. Beginning with the January meeting,
a series of bonding activities (like making cards for our 90 Plus Birthday Party) or relevant guest speakers and programs
highlight the gatherings. A favorite event is the Holiday Party. It is
a time to toast new members, celebrate the successful completion of the
Home Tour and relax with fellow members before the holidays.
