Pacific Palisades Junior
Womens Club (PPJWC) is pleased to announce the opening of the raffle to win the
miniature VISION House. The mini house was the centerpiece of the PPJWCs and
Structure Homes 4th of July parade float and is currently displayed on the 700
block of Via de la Paz. The mini house was constructed using green building
techniques and design. It utilizes steel, reclaimed wood, a custom door and
energy efficient operable windows. Measuring nearly 9 feet wide, the mini house
echoes the major design features of the VISION House LA which is located on
upper Via de la Paz. Structure Home is a Corporate
Sponsor of PPJWC and a long time supporter of PPJWCs Holiday Home Tour.
PPJWC members are selling
raffle tickets to win this well made accessory structure (cabana, retreat,
office, clubhouse or fancy storage shed).
The inside is just as charming
as the outside - designed and staged as a tranquil ladies retreat by Jamie
Roddy of the popular Brentwood home interiors
store, EdenLA. Known for their upbeat yet timeless designs, EdenLA
produced custom pieces for this unique home. Furnishings are not included
in the raffle, leaving the model home to be decorated according to your design.
Open houses will be offered
from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, and every Sunday in October, in the 700
block of Via De La Paz in Pacific Palisades.
Now through November 13, raffle tickets can
be purchased on Sundays at the Pacific Palisades Farmers Market, through a
PPJWC member. On November 13, tickets may be purchased at Pacific Palisades Charter
High School at the PPJWC
Home Tour Boutique.
To purchase tickets by mail, please send check made out to
PPJWC and mail to P.O. Box
1224, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.
Tickets are $10 each, six tickets for $50, or 15 tickets for $100.
This is a win-win for the community: a
mini-model home, promoting sustainable design and construction, that can be
transformed into anything imaginable for the lucky winner, and it benefits
local charities. For
individuals concerned with lack of space, we have a solution. The YMCA
would love to have the Mini Model Home for Simon Meadow. said Cathi Ruddy, Home Tour Chair, Pacific
Palisades Junior Womens Club.
About:
Founded in 1935, the Pacific Palisades Junior Women's Club (PPJWC ) is a non-profit organization that brings together energetic and socially minded women in friendship to serve others and our community and to preserve the distinctive character of the Palisades. The Holiday Home Tour is the PPJWC's most significant fundraising event. It takes place the second Sunday in November each year and features architecturally distinctive homes in the Palisades. Local designers, artists, home-related vendors and florists make contributions to enhance the homes and reflect the season. All homes on the Tour offer a variety of decorating styles and offer unique ideas for you to try in your own home
All of proceeds from the Holiday Home Tour and Boutique are awarded to local non-profit organizations in Pacific Palisades. In the past 10 years, PPJWC has donated nearly $1 million to both of our fire stations, all six public schools, Palisades Beautiful and many others.
