Halloween Window Painting Returns!
The PPJWC is sponsoring the annual Halloween Window Painting Contest. Last year we had 83 children decorate the store windows of our town, and 65 of those children also attended the awards ceremony to receive ribbons and a small prize. Children aged 6-12 are again invited to paint the windows of local participating businesses and compete for prizes awarded by age group. Applications will be available starting October 1 at the Library, Chamber of Commerce and online. Painting will take place over four days from Thursday October 14 - Sunday October 17.
We need PPJWC members to volunteer to judge the contest! Judging will take place at your leisure from Wednesday October 20 - Saturday October 23. It takes about 1/2 hour to view the windows assigned to you and rate each one based on originality, artistic ability, neatness and representation of theme. We need lots of volunteers, and it's fun! It's great to stroll through town, get into the spirit of the season and give back, and it's easy to bring your kids along to get their opinions as well.
Visit the Downloads section for the instructions and application.
Please contact Shell Grimes if you are interested in being a Halloween Window Painting Judge.
